In the 92nd auction collection, KODL Gallery presented 213 extraordinary works of art. In total, 95,3 % of the lots were sold.
The most expensive work was Josef Šíma's monumental canvas entitled Earth, whose price reached CZK 60.48 million.
In addition to Šíma, Otakar Kubín's painting Harvest, for which the new owner paid CZK 11.52 million, also sold in a new author's record. Collectors were very interested today in the works of Josef Lada, whose work on paper entitled Hastrman also set a new artist's record when it ended up at CZK 10.2 million.
In the 92nd auction, the works were again auctioned, with part of the proceeds going to charitable causes. A part of the hammer price of the first lot, a work by Adam Kašpar, will be donated to support the Czech Switzerland National Park. A share of the hammer prizes of works by Paste Oner, Rony Plesl and Karel Štědrý will go to the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Charles Borromeo. The sum of CZK 3,000,000 from the prize of Josef Šíma's work Earth will be divided equally between the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Brno University of Technology and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava to support young artists.
Auctioneers will be able to pick up the works by appointment at the KODL Gallery on Národní 7 from Tuesday 26 November.
Thank you to all auctioneers and art admirers for the beautiful results!
