Yury Shevchuk, born in Kyiv, Ukraine (1961), is a renowned artist with a rich background in architecture and fine arts. In 1992, he relocated to Prague, where he quickly established collaborations with local galleries and organized numerous international exhibitions. Yury's contributions to art and the automotive industry have been recognized globally. His work with the creative team on the film Ford vs. Ferrari - Le Mans '66 and with the Shelby American Collection Museum in Boulder, Colorado, as well as his exhibitions at Salon Retromobile in Paris, Le Mans Classic, SPA Classic in Belgium, and Techno Classica Essen in Germany, underscore his prominent position in the world of automotive art.
A variant of the presented painting is featured in a scene where Lee Iacocca arrives in Modena at Enzo Ferrari's office with an offer to buy Ferrari, only to be turned down. The number 40 also played a symbolic role in the film, as the central storyline revolves around the creation of the legendary Ford GT40 and its participation in the race Le Mans 24.
