KODL Gallery presented 225 extraordinary works of art in its 91st auction collection. A total of 97 % of the lots were sold.&nbsp;
The most expensive work was Emil Filla's figurative painting called <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/4344-dvojice-emil-filla">Couple</a> from 1934, which is so&nbsp;also the most expensive interwar painting by this artist sold. This&nbsp;large-format surrealist oil, which comes from the collection of Dr. Jaroslav Borovička, was&nbsp;auctioned for CZK 25.2 million (the starting price was CZK 13,000,000).
The second most expensive painting auctioned for CZK 22.8 million was the canvas <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/en/item/4325-va-et-vient-toyen">Toyen Va et vient</a> from her post-war Parisian period. The work came to Prague from the French&nbsp;family collection, for which it was purchased directly from the artist upon completion. This&nbsp;intimate but impressive painting has so far remained a secret from the public (the hammer price was&nbsp;7 000 000 CZK).
In support of the <a href="https://festival.cz/en/">Prague Spring Festival</a>, the first six lots were auctioned.&nbsp;Works by Milan&nbsp;Grygar, Petr Nikl, Ivan Pinkava, Jakub Roztočil, Ira Svobodov&aacute; and Daniel Vlček were&nbsp;were auctioned for CZK 1,992,000.
The auction for the <a href="https://www.paraple.cz/en/">Paraple Centre</a> included works by Jan H&iacute;sek, &Scaron;arka Koudelov&aacute;, Jakub&nbsp;Matu&scaron;ka (Masker), Michal Mr&aacute;z, Jiř&iacute; Petrbok, Rony Plesl, Jakub &Scaron;paňhel or&nbsp;Monika Ž&aacute;kov&aacute;. The total amount reached is CZK 1 746 000.
