Thank you for your support and for contributing to another successful auction, which achieved a success rate of 90.6%. The total starting price of CZK 12,868,000 was impressively raised to CZK 28,848,125. Among the most expensive sold works were pieces by Josef Lada. For<a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5256-velikonocni-motivy-josef-lada"> three gouaches with an Easter theme</a>, the new owner paid ten times the starting price&mdash;CZK 1,250,000 (starting price CZK 120,000). The second most expensive item of the day was Lada&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5379-myslivec-josef-lada">Huntsman</a>, which reached CZK 912,000.
The highest increase was recorded by an oil painting on canvas by the Italian painter Giuseppe Pogna, titled <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5398-za-soumraku-giuseppe-pogna">Twilight</a>&nbsp;from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Its starting price of CZK 35,000 was exceeded more than twelvefold, with the painting selling for CZK 437,500.
Olbram Zoubek was represented in the auction an impressive twelve times. The most expensive piece was the sculpture <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/en/item/5312-teacher-and-student-olbram-zoubek">Teacher and Student</a>, sold for CZK 462,500, followed by <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5231-teta-olbram-zoubek">Teta</a>, which fetched CZK 404,250. As always, strong attention was also drawn to the group of works by the renowned and highly collected artist Vlastimil Bene&scaron;. This time, the highest price was achieved by the oil on hardboard <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5185-strechy-vlastimil-benes">Rooftops</a>, which rose from a starting price of CZK 50,000 to CZK 176,000.
Collectors also showed great interest in the auction&rsquo;s gems, including the iconic<a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5197-submariner-date-rolex"> Rolex Submariner Date </a>watch model. Once again, a curated collection of iconic vintage handbags from prestigious fashion houses was featured. The most expensive of these was the limited-edition <a href="https://www.artslimit.com/cs/item/5190-birkin-casaque-35-limitovana-edice-hermes">Herm&egrave;s Birkin Casaque 35</a>, which sold for CZK 393,750.
The first eight items were auctioned as part of a charity sale. The proceeds, totaling CZK 786,600, will be used to support the awareness activities of the Czech non-profit initiative Save-Elephants.
